LAtimes.com is running a fantastic web series on the destruction of the ocean. The overall quality is not quite Discovery Channel, but interesting none the less. One of the stories from the series of the Eastern Garbage Patch, a Texas sized pile of plastic bottles and garbage floating in the currents northeast of Hawaii. Check it out here.
